Is Jesus God?
Jesus declares it Himself that Jesus is God, in John chapter 10 verse 30 ''I and My Father are one.'' Jesus also says that He is the Christ, in John chapter 5 verse 18 ''For this reason, they tried all the more to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.'' As the Trinty is one: God the Father God the Son and God the Holy Spirit,  Jesus is part of the Godhead. Jesus is fully man and yet fully God. Perhaps the most obvious fact yet by no means the least significant is that Jesus has the name of God. In the Old Testament, the name Yahweh is used over 5000 times meaning Lord or "I am who I am". In John 8:35 Jesus Himself declares "I say to you before Abraham was, I Am".

In the Bible, we see that God is uncreated, eternal, everywhere, all-knowing, all-powerful and sovereign. These attributes are also attributes possessed by Jesus:
UNCREATED
In the past, God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. Hebrews 1:1-2

ETERNAL
In the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1

EVERYWHERE
Which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way. Ephesians 1:23

ALL KNOWING
Jesus, knowing all that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them, “Who is it you want?”  John 18:4

ALL POWERFUL
For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. Colossians 1:16

Jesus is fully God and yet fully man. He gave up His majesty and royalty to come down to earth and die the death of a sinner for us.  Everyone has the opportunity to be forgiven and saved from their sin and the curse which is death. Jesus Christ died for everyone, but it’s up to us to take him up on the offer of salvation. Salvation is the greatest gift we could ever receive. We no longer have to be punished for our sin.  Jesus’ love is greater than anything we could ever imagine. If you would like to know how to receive the amazing gift of salvation click here.
