How can I find strength in times of trials?

We often find ourselves distracted, worried, fearful and weak. All the chaos that is in the world, the distractions we can face in our lives; work you need to catch up on, family feuds, heartbreak, busyness. As Christians, we can be assured that God is close and that we ought to cling to His love. Do you really believe that God will provide you with the strength to go through each day? Do you really believe that if you ask he will open? Do you really believe that God is the God of the impossible?

Isaiah 40:31 reminds us that, “Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Consider the people in the Bible who went through difficult times, yet still clung to their faith in God. Noah was asked by God to build an ark and yet the people went about mocking yet God provided the strength to build the ark, lead the animals into the ark and shut the door. Daniel was cast into the Lion's den because he was seen praying to God yet God kept the mouths of the fierce cats closed because Daniel trusted in God and was given the strength as he prayed. Ruth lost her husband, ventured out to an unknown land and yet Ruth found a new life and her desire to care for her mother in law was greatly blessed.

When you find yourself in times of struggle and need our first port of call ought to be prayer. If you ask God for help, He will help you. You may have to go through the trail, it may be hard and tough yet we can be comforted that the creator God be there with us if we are His children. It says in Galatians chapter 6 verse 14 ''But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.” We are to 'boast in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom by the world has been crucified to me, and I in the World.’ As Christians, we should have the same desire, which is to serve with willingness, no matter what situation we may find ourselves in. Times may be hard, trials may arise, all may seem against us, yet we can be confident that our God is working everything out for good.
