About
Shout Good News is a nonprofit ministry. Our aim is to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ to a lost world. We desire to serve God by seeking to extend His kingdom and encourage Christians to grow, be bold and serve their church. We strive to make Jesus central to everything, trying to glorify God in all things. Everything we believe is grounded in the true infallible word of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Shout Good News attempts to proclaim the good news of Jesus and encourage Christians in their walk through short blogs, articles and videos focusing on the Bible, struggles Christians may face, current affairs that affect the church and Christianity in our secular culture.

SHOUT GOOD NEWS
Proclaiming The Good News Of Jesus
Coronavirus (COVID-19) Statement
Over the past weeks and months we have experienced an unprecedented pandemic that has changed the way in which we live and operate our lives. According to WHO:
"COVID-19 is the infectious disease caused by the most recently discovered coronavirus. This new virus and disease were unknown before the outbreak began in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. COVID-19 is now a pandemic affecting many countries globally."
Following the Prime Minister’s announcement of 23 March many aspects of everyday life have had to change including the necessary action of closing churches for private and public worship. With many church buildings closed, services unable to continue in their usual format and the people of God not being able to meet together in person we realise the additional importance of online ministries such as Shout Good News in sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ and providing both Christians and non-Christians with a platform that points to the Word of God.
These are challenging and difficult days for both individuals and organisations and Shout Good News is certainly not exempt from this. We have been closely monitoring the situation as it unfolds and are ensuring that Shout Good News follows the Government's guidelines properly and thoroughly. It is Biblical and of the uttermost importance that we all follow the Government guidelines and listen to the health professionals. Because we are an online ministry we are in a fortunate position that we can continue running the same services digitally and from our homes. Although we cannot meet in person as a team to discuss the work of Shout Good News we are blessed with the technology that enables us to have regular communication with one another that enables us to continue to operate and grow this website.
These are troubling and unsettling times, but the Shout Good News team strongly believes that it is important that in the midst of this global crisis we turn to God and His Word. We would encourage you to join with us in praying for strength, safety and wisdom as we navigate the steps forward over the coming weeks and months. As a team we understand that during this period of quarantine our normal day to day routines will and have significantly changed, we believe it is vital that we use our time wisely and would encourage you to throughout the day open the Scriptures, use our online resources, meditate upon the Word of God and find comfort and strength in the Lord. In response to the increased demand for online Christian resources we will be using this time to:
- Increase the amount of Bible Questions & Answers
- Post articles more regularly to ensure that there is plenty of resources available
- Grow our new pages such as Paul M Harvey 247 BIBLESONG music page so that Shout Good News broadens the resources available, ranging from written articles, to videos and to music
- Launch our very first online store
- Rapidly speed up our response time to submitted questions
Deuteronomy 31:8 reminds us that no matter what may lie ahead, we can be sure that the Lord God will go before us. During this time of worry and anxiety we would encourage you all to trust in the Lord, allow Him to lead you and trust that He is and will be with you:
"The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."
Grace be with you,
Jonathan Powell

Update: 21/06/2020
Following the last few months in lockdown we have all seen a dramatic change in the way we live our lives.
We have been closely monitoring the situation as it unfolds and have ensured that the Shout Good News team has followed the Government's guidelines thoroughly throughout this period. As I stated in the previous statement because we are an online ministry we have been extremely fortunate to be able to continue running the same services digitally and from our homes. We also mentioned that in response to the increased demand for online Christian resources we would be using this time to increase the content available on Shout Good News and improve the platform. We are pleased to say that during this time we have:
- Posted new and fresh articles more regularly
- Created numerous subpages to the Paul M Harvey 247 BIBLESONG HUB including a lyric video page, audio mp3 page, children's series resources hub and launched Immanuel- God Is With Us multi-media series.
- Launched our very first online store which is selling Paul M Harvey's CD's
- Sped up our response time for submitted questions
- Redesigned the following pages: Home, About, Bible Questions, Paul M Harvey Hub, Book Reviews
- Introduced a new page, the Video Hub which hosts numerous video resources as well as a new editing service
- Created numerous videos including our new 'Discover Shout Good News' promotional video
- Improved our reach on both Facebook and Instagram
- Held many virtual meetings about future projects that will be available over the coming weeks and months
We pray that you are in good health. We are thankful that our hope, strength and security is in God. As we begin to come out of this period of lockdown may we fix our eyes upon Jesus.
Every Blessing,
Jonathan Powell & The Shout Good News Team
