Jonathan Powell

Jonathan studies Jurisprudence (Law) at Jesus College, the University of Oxford. A native of North Wales, Jonathan enjoys writing articles, photography, videography and editing, website design, composing and singing. Following the completion of his law degree he hopes to have a career ar the commercial bar. Since becoming a Christian at the age of 11 on a Christian camp, Jonathan has had a passion for sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ to those who do not know his amazing grace and love while also encouraging other believers to walk steadfastly and boldly. What better way to do this than by utilising the gift of the internet!

Nathan Troon

Nathan is currently in sixth form studying Business, Product Design and Engineering. After completing his studies he hopes to gain an apprenticeship with one of the College's sponsors. Running, spending time outdoors and reading are among some of his hobbies. Nathan was raised in a Christian family but only truly began to understand the importance of salvation at the age of 13. He began to find all the world had to offer was temporary and could not be relied on. Since giving his life to Jesus Nathan now finds true joy and fulfilment as well as wisdom, guidance and consolation not from the world but in Him.

Cerys Reeves

Bible Questions Team Leader

Cerys studies Adult Nursing at the University of Manchester. She enjoys playing the flute, socialising and spending quality time with her family, friends and most importantly dogs! Cerys became a Christian at the age of 16. The combination of previous church experience from when she had attended an Anglican church as a youngster and interest in Christianity made Cerys seek if the Bible was true. This lasted for a good 3 years until she went to a Welsh summer camp and decided to put her trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. As she begins her nursing studies Cerys hopes to get involved with the University Christian Union.

Sam Brown

Writer & Researcher

Sam is currently undertaking a two year course in countryside management. Sam enjoys spending time outdoors; walking, bird watching and making the most of God's wonderful creation. Sam also enjoys working on his model railway which seems to be growing each day. Having been raised in a Christian family Sam had always been aware of the Bible stories but it wasn't something personal until at the age of 10 Sam gave his life to the Lord Jesus and became a Christian. 

Phoebe Troon

Social Media Director

Phoebe is currently volunteering with Yorkshire Christian Camps. Phoebe enjoys working with children and is often involved with the children's work at her Church. Each summer she enjoys volunteering on Beach missions, bringing the news of Jesus Christ to children and families. She enjoys music and is a talented pianist. She loves making new friends and spending time with her family. Phoebe was brought up in a Christian home and became a Christian at the age of 6. Trusting in her Saviour the Lord Jesus day by day Phoebe seeks to grow in the Lord and use her skills to glorify God.

Reuben Troon

Reuben is currently a healthcare worker living in Whitchurch, England. Originally from Milton Keynes he was born into a Christian family and became a Christian at the age of twelve. Although he was raised learning about the Bible it wasn't until he had a conversation with his mother about how the angels rejoice when one sinner is saved that he made the personal commitment to accept Jesus as his Saviour. Reuben is keen to encourage fellow believers in their faith and has been involved in numerous voluntary Christian missions for children. In his spare time when he is not busy working shifts caring for the elderly he enjoys walking, reading and photography.

Jacob Varley

Jacob is currently at South Cheshire college, working towards a diploma in TV and Film. After that, he plans to get into the media industry and hopefully someday work on Christian films and videos. His hobbies include model making, filmmaking, painting and music making. Jacob was brought up in a Christian family and by the time he was about 11, he started to realise that he had to decide whether Christianity was factual or fictional. He made the decision to put his faith in Jesus and start looking into Christianity more seriously. Over the years his faith and understanding have grown, and he is now certain that Jesus died for him and other sinners so that they can have eternal life.
